Meat is a good source of protein and can be part of a healthy diet, but it should be consumed in moderate amounts and without too much fat. Stewed meat is far healthier than fried meat. Smoked sausages and ham should not be eaten in large quantities as they contain lots of salt and other additives.
In Belarus, meat products come from a well-developed livestock industry. The country ranks first in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in terms of meat production.
