Click beetle

Hemicrepidius niger

Description:
The click beetle can grow to a length of 10 to 14 millimetres. It is completely black, with a slightly metallic sheen.

Habitat:
Click beetles commonly inhabit forested areas and are common in Central and Eastern Europe.

Habits:
Click beetles are omnivores and occasionally cause damage to agricultural crops.
